Introducing...Kitten!

Ok, for the story... Yesterday Evan and I drove to Port to eat lunch at one of our favorite restaurants ever, Goosey's Galley. By the way, if you ever get the chance, you have to eat there, they have the best Pork and Cucumber sandwiches, yeah, kinda sounds weird, but it's soooooo good. Anyway, we were just about downtown Port (yes, Port has a downtown) and on one of the side streets there were a whole bunch of balloons and a sign that said, 'Pet Adoption'. After, doing very little convincing to Evan to persuade him to drive past it, we saw two of the cutest orange tabbies. The pet adoption was at one of the local vets and they just had a bunch of cats and kittens hanging out in kennels in the front yard. But, again, we just DROVE by... Evan and I decided to stop after we ate to look at them a little closer...Evan will say it was my idea, but you know he wanted to look at them just as badly as I did. So, after a lovely lunch at Goosey's we went to see the cutenest kittens ever, besides Stella of course. We looked at the orange tabbies, which were even cuter close up, but not far from them was a big kennel with 4 very tiny 6 week old kittens. Two black, one grey one and one brown tabby! They were so funny, everytime you'd come closer to the kennel the little brown one would hiss, very loudly and quite often. So funny, have you ever seen such a little kitten hiss and spit, it's hilarious! You can't be afraid of that, it's too cute! Anyway, needless to say, I bought her! She's still very hissy and quite sassy, but oh so adorable! And, surprisingly enough, Stella and she are getting along pretty well. Stella hasn't quite figured out that she, being the beast that she is cannot pounce on her, but she's becoming very motherly towards her and in fact, think the kitten likes Stella more than she likes us. Now, we just have to figure out a name for her! Sassy was the first choice, but I'm not so sure yet. What'd'ya think? Until we figure it out, she will be 'Kitten'. I know, I know, real original!

Cute! Why am I not surprised? How long before you are the old lady with 15 cats, pushing a cart down the street? Ha ha! Just joking! She is adorable though! How about Sassafrass and Sass for short? We'll have to work her into our Stella-Cat story! :0)

Yup, Port is Port Washington. That's where Evan's family lives and where he grew up the majority of his life, so we like to get there every once in a while! I'm tellin ya, Goosey's is amazing!
